The Bluetooth Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Personal Area Network (PAN) Features:

Bluetooth-enabled portables may now be CPS-programmed, through the following fields, with the capability to simultaneously connect to a wide variety of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Bluetooth devices, as well as Motorola-proprietary devices. In addition, support for the Bluetooth Personal Area Network (PAN) profile has been added, enabling radio codeplug data to transmitted to and from the radio directly over the air without the need of programing cables, via a Bluetooth connection (see also the Bluetooth Feature Topic's "How To" section).
